Without a ticket, enter by the Porta delle Virtù, walk the right nave and leave by the left. Paper tickets are sold at the Broletto Infopoint in Via Pretorio, open 10:00-13:00 and 14:00-17:00. Online tickets ask for a date but entry is not tied to it. Both the cathedral's and the Comune's price sheets say Sunday tourist visits are suspended, while the cathedral's visits page still lists Sunday times: plan Monday to Saturday.
Brunate Funicular: Buy at the Station
The funicular needs no reservation. It runs daily 06:00-24:00, every 12 to 15 minutes, and the ride takes 7 minutes from the lower station at Piazza Alcide De Gasperi 4. The only decision is the ticket type, and the table sets the official fares beside the tours that include the ride.

Como is unusual: almost every entry is bought at the door on the day, and only two things genuinely require a booking. Here is the split, so you can plan the one reservation that matters and ignore the rest.

Two kinds of Como ticket need a booking before you arrive. The first is the Casa del Fascio, Giuseppe Terragni's rationalist landmark, which has no walk-in visits. Entry is only on scheduled guided visits led by the architect Attilio Terragni through Slow Lake Como, limited to the atrium, with ID sent by email in advance.
Adults pay $17.31 (€15), children 6-14 $5.77 (€5), and the dates are published on the Slow Lake Como booking page, so your trip has to fit them. The second is Como 1907 football. Single-match tickets for recent home games are sold on the club's own platform, tickets.comofootball.com, and no price list is published before each match goes on sale.

Buy on the Day
Everything else is bought on the day. Cathedral tickets are sold at the Broletto Infopoint and online, with no binding date. The Tempio Voltiano and the Pinacoteca sell at the desk by cash or card, or online at museicomo.vivaticket.it.
The Silk Museum sells at the door or online. The funicular sells at the lower station. Boat tickets are sold at the piers on Piazza Cavour.
None of these venues publishes a timed-entry or capacity system, so buying ahead is a convenience, not a necessity.
Why Resellers Rarely Save Time Here
In cities with timed entry, resellers sell a reserved slot. Not one of the official ticket pages for Como's cathedral, civic museums, Silk Museum or funicular publishes a timed slot, so there is no line to skip with a reseller. The Como Art pass bundles the three paid culture venues in the centre: the Pinacoteca Civica, the Tempio Voltiano and the cathedral's ticketed visit, two or three of them within 3 days. Each venue sets its own reduced and free categories, and they do not match. The civic museums and the cathedral share a ladder, the Silk Museum and the funicular differ, and the Casa del Fascio visit has its own.
